I bought these shoes for my 6 year old son after he found them in a catalog and fell in love with them. He has had both the Skechers Police light up shoes and the Skechers Fire Dept light-up shoes, both of which were still working perfectly after several months of wear, so I didn't hesitate to purchase another lighted Skeckers product when it was time for a new pair of shoes for him, thinking they were a safe bet. Well, much to my disappointment, he's worn these Luminator Nollies for about 3 months now and only 3 lights on one shoe and 2 lights on the other shoe are still working. I will say that the shoes themselves have held up very well under the beating that a 6 year old boy gives a shoe during the summer months (and these are the only shoes he wears - he refuses sandals or any other tennis shoe but these), but I'm not happy at all with the poor longevity on the lights. At least one light on each shoe was out within the first month that he had them, which is so disappointing to a little boy who thinks he has the coolest shoes in school! Overall, I would say that they weren't worth the extra money that I paid for the lights. Skechers needs to go back to the drawing board on these. -- Hold up well but lights are disappointing
The velcro on these skechers is much more substantial than the "z-strap" type and so far has held up much better. I'm not a fan of light up shoes, but let me son have these for the summer. The shoes have taken a beating and still look ok. -- Light up
My 4 yr old son loves these shoes because of the bright green lights. All the kids love these shoes when he wears them and gets lots of compliments. He has been wearing them for about a month now and so far they are holding up well. -- Cool shoes
